Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy at Integrative Medicine US
Platelet-rich plasma injections are a minimally invasive treatment that uses concentrated plasma extracted from a patient’s blood to treat a variety of injuries and ease muscle, joint, tendon, and ligament pain or restore hair and skin.
Platelet-rich plasma is known to have a higher concentration of growth factors, or proteins, which are essential in the healing of injured tissue and the regeneration and repair of the body.
Increased amounts of these critical growth factors, supplied via a PRP injection, can speed up the body’s natural healing process by regenerating cells to mend damaged tissue. Whether you are looking for a youth-restoring treatment or help support healing injuries, our team can develop a treatment plan for your needs.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, and how does it work?
We start by taking a blood sample from the patient who is being treated. Then, we separate your platelets from other blood components by centrifuging your blood sample. The platelets are then put through our proprietary methods to increase the concentration to the desired amount. They are then used as an injection.
As a result, the target tissues have a substantially larger concentration of platelets. A high concentration of platelets promotes tissue healing.
What Is PRP Therapy Used For?
Treatment for Injuries and Pain
PRP injections are beneficial for most sports injuries, persistent muscle soreness, and strained tendons and ligaments, allowing people to get back to their regular activities faster and with minor discomfort. The following are examples of these types of injuries:
- Golfer’s elbow or tennis elbow
- Injuries to the rotator cuff and shoulder pain
- Knee pain, hip pain, back pain and joint pain
- Plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis
- Ankle sprains, muscle strains and more
Supporting tissue healing is an important step to ensure your body is adequately healed.
Platelets are high in growth factors, which increase blood flow to target regions—platelets aid hair restoration by increasing blood flow to and activating hair follicles. More nutrients are delivered to these tissues as circulation increases, promoting repair.
The procedure entails extracting your platelets and putting them into your scalp in regions where you want to see increased hair growth.
Genetics, smoking, chemical exposure, and sun exposure are all factors that cause our skin to age. Wrinkles and loose skin accompany aging. People who lose a lot of weight quickly may also experience loose skin.
Collagen degeneration occurs as our skin ages. PRP therapy rejuvenates the skin. The treatments encourage new collagen growth by injecting your own plasma-rich platelets into the target locations. PRP treatments, as a result, turn back the clock on your skin.

More info about PRP Therapy in Regenerative Medicine
In recent years, the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has demonstrated to be a promising solution in anti-aging and regenerative medicine.
PRP is a high concentration of platelets derived from whole blood. It includes hundreds of bioactive proteins, growth factors, peptides, and cytokines that stimulate healing of skin and soft tissues.
Activated platelets release growth and cell differentiation factors, tissue regeneration, and healing with no risk of immunogenicity.
PRP therapy is employed for:
- Muscle and bone regeneration
- Treatment of severe pain related to osteoarthritis and tendinitis
With main focus on:
- Severe tendinitis
- Auto immune conditions
- Hair restoration
- Skin and facial rejuvenation
- Hand rejuvenation
- Improved mobility
At Integrative Medicine US, our therapies meet the highest quality safety standards and are in compliance with all laws and FDA guidance.
Our goal is to reduce or eliminate the need for medicines or avoid major surgical procedures. Using minimally-invasive procedures to help our clients heal and get back to their normal life.
